This super easy salmon marinade is heavy on the lemon garlic and fresh and dried herbs.

Mix together marinade ingredients in a baking dish.
In a small bowl combine the olive oil dijon mustard lemon juice brown sugar liquid smoke salt and pepper.
Soy sauce olive oil brown sugar ginger and garlic.
Whisk well until smooth.
It packs the fish with a ton of flavor while also keeping it from drying out essentially it s a brine and marinade wrapped into one.

Remove salmon from marinade.
Place salmon skin side down on grill.
Add salmon fillets skin side up into the marinade and place in the fridge for 15 45 minutes.

Discard any remaining marinade.

I intentionally left lemon juice out of this recipe because acids like lemon juice can actually cook the salmon as it sits in the marinade.
